An efficient and scaleable historian solution means that the Canary Enterprise Historian can run on a wide range of computers from desktop computers (even laptops), all the way up to enterprise servers. It allows you to capture and summarize manufacturing data more than ten times faster than the average multi-purpose database solution. Speed and efficiency makes logging rates of 100 times a second (10 milliseconds) possible. Data from thousands of tags over many years are quickly retrieved and displayed in seconds.
The Canary Enterprise Historian is very scaleable. For example, it's quick and easy to use the Canary Enterprise Historian in a small scale lab test. Just set it up quickly on a small desktop computer. On the other hand, if you have a large job, the Enterprise Historian can be setup on multiple large servers in multiple locations providing high speed and redundancy. The efficient design allows the same historian solution to do both small and large scale tasks.
Canary Labs Trend Link - The Recognized Leader in Trending
The Canary Trend Link viewer is unmatched by any other trend viewer and is very easy to use. Customers call it "obviously intuitive". Based upon the old style strip chart recorder display, Trend Link is much more powerful and faster (and paperless). When Trend Link is used with our Enterprise Historian, the retrieval speed of large amounts of process data is extremely fast. Typically a full year's worth of data can be recalled and displayed in seconds.
It's very easy to configure and use Trend Link to view data. Browse and select the tags that you want to view. Drag and move the trends around. View both real time and historical data just by scrolling the cursor. You can even view the trends in different orientations. It's very graphical, easy to use and intuitive.

Canary Labs has products that can be integrated together to create customized industry solutions. Examples include Water and Wastewater, Oil and Gas, and Power Utilities.
For example, a system for Water and Wastewater Plants uses the Enterprise Historian and Canary Logger to collect and store process data. The data is graphically displayed using InfoLink and Trend Link. Trend Calc is used to calculate KPI's and other meaningful measurements. Important alert tags indicating problems trigger an automatic call to the manager, immediately letting him know that an unusual situation may need his attention. He can then view plant data with Canary Mobile on his smart phone.
In addition to real time information, laboratory testing data is recorded using a Lab Data Entry program and is combined with the plant's process data to automatically create monthly government compliance reports, eliminating hours of tedious manual calculations and work.
