Canary Historian ODBC Client

The Canary Historian ODBC Client is a driver that allows ODBC-compliant clients to use the Open Database Connectivity standard to access Canary Enterprise Historian data. It provides a relational database view of the data, allowing the use of SQL queries. This provides Canary Enterprise Historian data to a large number of existing 3rd party query and reporting tools that can be used for data analysis and reporting.

The driver is used to create an ODBC Data Source. Data Sources can be setup for a single user, or for all users on a computer. Each data source can access a single Canary Enterprise Historian. Historians can be on the same computer or can be remote.

  • Settings - Sets defaults for queries.
  • Tags - Shows list of datasets and tags.
  • Aggregates - List of aggregate functions for retrieving processed data.
  • Data - Source for historial data.
  • Current Data - Provides easy access to current live data.
